自然条件

属长江三角洲冲积平原。全境地势平坦，自东北向西南略呈倾斜。东部为沿
江平原，西部为低洼圩区。太仓属北亚热带南部湿润气候区，四季分明，气
候温和。
太仓港口岸长38.8公里，其中深水岸线25公里，是距长江入海口最近的港
口。岸线基本平直且边滩稳定，终年不冻不淤，深水区开阔、稳定，航道水
深-12.5米，能满足20万吨级船舶常态化进出，是长江下游地区的“黄金岸
线”。
Taicang is located in the alluvial plain of the Yangtze River Delta,
featuring flat terrain, slightly inclining from northeast to southwest.
The eastern part is a plain along the river and the western part is
low-lying. Influenced by the humid climate of the south of the northern
subtropical region, Taicang has four distinctive seasons and a
moderate climate.
As the nearest port to the estuary of the Yangtze River, Taicang Port
has a shoreline of 38.8 kilometers, including a deep-water section of
25 kilometers. The port line is roughly straight and the shoal is stable.
It is ice-free and does not silt up throughout the whole year. The
deep-water area is spacious and stable, with the fairway depth of
12.5 meters to accommodate ships up to 200,000 tons. It is a
“golden port” at the lower reach of the Yangtze River.
