城厢镇

位于太仓市域西南部，镇域面积52.95平方公里，户籍人口8.3万人，流动人
口6.2万人。连续多年获评“中国科学发展百强镇”，先后通过“全国文明镇”和
“中国民间文化艺术之乡”复评。
太仓高新技术产业开发区南区（太仓市科技产业园）逐渐成为产业转型升级
先锋军和产业提质扩量新高地；福地欧美工业园二期、中科院硅酸盐所、中
德科创联盟平台等三大核心载体加快建设，园区高端制造业和欧美项目集
聚、样板效益初现。

Located at southwestern urban area of Taicang, It covers an area of
52.95 square kilometers, with registered population of 83,000 and
floating population of 62,000. For many consecutive years, it has been
ranking among the Top 100 Chinese Towns in Science Development,
and has gone through the re-evaluation for National Culturally
Advanced Towns and Home of Folk Culture and Art of China.
The Southern Zone of Taicang High-Tech Industrial Development
Zone (Taicang Science and Technology Industry Park) has gradually
become a pioneer for industrial transformation and upgrading and a
highland for quality improvement and expansion of industries. In
addition, the construction of three core carriers, including the Phase II
project of the Fortune Land Euro-US Industrial Park, the Institute of
Silicate of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the China-Germany
Science and Technology Innovation Alliance Platform, has been accelerated.
A great number of high-end manufacturing and European and
American projects have concentrated in the park, with model effect
initially shown.
